Chitin really doesn't work unless there are giant insects. I'm not sure if that's a good direction for the Sand Wastes. Might be, though.

If there is something FFXII really excelled at, it was monster design. Name aside (y helo thar Fallout crossover), that's definitely a mob that can show up in the Sand Wastes (which is supposed to be high-level MHs anyway). And there's obviously lots of chitin there to craft into armor.
That said, make it a little less silly than the stuff that shows up in Solstheim. Awesome as that is, it's not thematic.

I experimented a little with Halldor Gunvald as Johann. I seriously need a good 'realistic' red pallete. Can't find any anywhere. Are redheads exctinct in Ivalice?

I had two redheads in my old spriteset, if anyone around still has copies of all the old stuff.

Yeah, it's too bright.. And it basically looks like you just recolored Halldor Now he looks like Gimli.  I could conjure up a pallete for redheads. For all I know it could be useful for us all in the future. |

In case you didn't notice my post on the other forum, here it is.  Took my time to make pale redhead out of my existing pale blonde palletes. And I came up with Germonique (The "traitor") at the same time. Heh. I had to borrow and rotate a little the hair of the 20yr old man for speed purposes, so sorry about that. Enjoy. Possibly I'll do a dark skin Ordallian pallete next. |

Whatever you're comfortable with contributing man. This is already a big help so thanks! I'll have the Karsids use these. You should totally complete that Germonique.
Also, yeah the darkest pallete for Ordallians we have is probably Barrett or Baron of Bolmina.
I just noticed also how saturated sprites are compared to portraits.

Sometimes.
Portraits should never be over-saturated, and this should always be overstated. In mine, instead of intensifying the orange (that is often the common erred way of doing things; would have looked out of place), I instead made the skin lighter to make the color stand out as it should, while at the same time keeping a sense or 'feel' of belonging to the original portraits.
Yeah, Barett could work. Might try experimenting with his colors myself.
