I wanted the Rydia that I made, I liked it twelve times better than the one in that list. I actually had made two, and I loved both of 'em. But yeah, the Wolf Knight is hardcore. And we did go a bit overboard, but most never made an appearance.
I love those religious emblems. I want to see if we can make some fancy ones (Like how there are, like, 400 different versions of the Christian Cross).

Thanks Schwer. I'll update the current sprites. Haven't read of Theorungr yet.

Theorungr is the Romandan religion. I haven't really worked on it much yet. I know where I want to go with it -- a religion based more around a deeply spiritual philosophy than he worship of a deity or group of deities -- but I don't know how exactly to tie that into the Romandan culture. Not yet, at any rate.
The idea I had was for religions to run the gauntlet. The Church of Glabados is very Christian, the Dhalin ad-Din has strong Islamic roots, Averrianism is a philosophy that essentially declares scholastic and scientific pursuits to be divine, the Kharkonid Heresy is a sort of brash and utilitarian interpretation of the Dhalin ad-Din (roughly representing the barely-civilized nature of the Berbers immediately after their conversion), Viuran Faranism/Pharism is "we think Dhalin ad-Din is a but much, but we totally follow the Five Principles so the zealots don't massacre us" and thus a perfect fit for Zelamonia and Altenia, and then there's Theorungr, which I haven't quite worked out yet.

Probably this one will be my PC pic. Maybe I'll fancy his armor a little bit. I just edited one of the many sprites avaiable in the Final Fantasy Hacktics forum.

Updated with a couple. Requesting feedback for the works so far.
Also, I was thinking either we could scratch the religion tab (For reasons that usually a person from this certain faction or nationality would most definitely be Chruch of Glabados, etc.) And replace it with a title tab instead so it'd fit well with the faction tab also. Like Kingdom of Romanda - Crown Prince. Or Hokuten Knights - Grand Master or Khamja - Master Assassin or Kingdom of Ivalice - Lion Knight or whatever flavor we might want. The religion tab becomes a bit tedious copypasting it throughout factions a bit.

We could probably fit the religion symbol between the character's sprite and the zodiac without any trouble (and fade it out to match). That keeps the information on-screen and frees up the tab for flavor text. Mustadio looks so much better with goggles. Goddamn forehead goes on for miles in FFT. I actually envisioned Johann and his kids as redheads. Mostly because they, like, never show up in FFT. Makes them look similar, but distinctly foreign. Plus northern climates tend to have more redheads (Scotland, with its perpetually overcast skies, has some of the highest rates in the world -- and yes, this is the kind of thing I look up at 4am when I should be sleeping). Barbaneth's armor is suitably gaudy. I like it. I'd add a bit of color to his hair, though. Maybe a pale blonde. Also, I kind of want to add Meliadoul (because she's such a fantastic character and gets shafted in FFT). I really like this sprite.

I'll get to them requests. Yep Barbaneth's hair like his sons, Besrudio actually has the biggest forehead, etc etc. Thanks. Wait she a redhead? Looking at the Tengille family right now.

Updated Barbaneth with the new palette. God, now I like him more. He looks like a Tywin Lannister and acts like him too.

Dude, Mustadio looks HARD. CORE. Also, before I list requests, as of start of the game, what's our time difference between FFSim v1 and HoI v1? HoI v1 took place... what, a few years after FFT?

Kablizzy, you didn't read the timeline thread? Bro, do you even lift? Beta: ~Year 47 of the Fifty Years' War (Ordallian invasion and reoccupation of Zelamonia) Full game: ~Year 49 of the Fifty Years' War (Ordallian invasion of Zeltennia) Updated Barbaneth with the new palette. God, now I like him more. He looks like a Tywin Lannister and acts like him too. AND WHO ARE YOU THE PROUD LORD SAID I sort of envisioned Johann as a bit more like Tywin; disappointed in his children and such. But, yeah, Barbaneth looks the part. I'm no man of honour Myself is my true king But somewhere deep within me The bells of conscience ring

Blizz was asking v1, I think. I also need a lot more referrence to v1. Anyway, yeah I'll be coming up with sprites for extra characters as well. Some may or may not be in-game. Immersion stuff. Faction uniforms and stuff. Etc. Also, nah. Barbaneth IS Tywin. -Be a badass commander -The looks -The prestigious noble house -Mentions to show these brothers of yours how to truly be a knight (Disappointment in sons. Actually at the time Ramza still is the brat and worse of the siblings according to the character bios.) -Eventually killed by own son. -Children destroy everything he's worked hard for. Other than that, I hope to be able to distinguish the Hokuten and the Nanten even more apart from just blue vs red, hopefully. Like how Hokuten and Nanten are defensive (Full of knight classes, though we haven't even determined what a knight herald is. Hopefully we'll make him a super tank to distinguish from the rest) vs. offensive (Full of sword use classes, sword saint, ark knight), regal and prestigious vs. down to earth and practical, quality vs quantity (Nanten having more recruits with some from the commoners lessening their 'quality') Also, interesting that Delacroix was actually a knight and hero in the 50 years war and had a wife who was killed by Ordallians. I'll make him look a bit more heroic then.

Also, requests complete. I'm up for being spoonfed requests for ideas. Some classes, religions or titles are also still missing.
Boco's done. Some wild, pale hair.
I'm inclined to call the organization 'Knights Templar' while the class is 'Temple Knight'. Makes sense.

Gaffy looks cool. Younger, but not too young. I like it.
Boco looks neat. Might look more ominous if we give him red stripes (although that may just be the "oshit, that Red Chocobo needs to die like right goddamn now" conditioning from FFT).
Johann (who looks much better with red hair) would probably be better with flavor text like 'Avatar of Storvirkr' or something.
For Khalid (and his son, whose name escapes me at the moment), I'd like a throwback to the classic Black Mage, but not quite so overt. Something more along the lines of FE's morphs. And make the eyes blue because yellow eyes are for the pleb magi.
