Item Skills
A proposed new list of generic abilities. These are inspired by the traditional skill set of the Chemist in FFT. Instead of allowing the user to gain knowledge or whatever on how to use that item, learning the item skill in FFSim allows the player to be able to use an infinite amount of that item, without having to buy them each and every time at a shop. Chemists would get these at half price and could possibly even count towards mastery.

Chemists would get these at half price and could possibly even count towards mastery.
We have two main ways that people use generic items. The first and normal way is to buy them from markets. All classes are able to use any item bought. The second way is to move Chemist's original item abilities into civilian skills, and item skills learned in this way makes the player automatically able to use that item an infinite amount of times without having to buy it. So it would be like any PC is able to use any item that they buy, but if they learn the civilian skill, they learn the ability to create the item themselves and it can be assumed they bring enough of said item to last a battle.
