The Dutchy of Zeltennia lies in Eastern Ivalice and borders the Empire of Ordallia. The Knightly Order of the Nanten protects the province from both internal and external threat.

Theorder itself is a loose confederation of eastern lords who have united for a common cause and for mutual protection which includes barons, marquises and other lords. While it is relatively younger than the Orderof the Hokuten, it employs more knights and enjoys greater popularity with the peasantry due to its leniency and to General Orlandeau's honor and General Elmdore's deadly charm.

1.) Count Cidolphus Orlandeau

Class: Sword Saint
"Long ago, I was taught to strike form behind and keep my back to the wall" - Cidolphus Orlandeau
The general of the Order of the Southern Sky is known as one of the most chivalrous men in Ivalice. With a loyal streak that puts most to shame, Orlandeau lives to serve.

2.)Marquis Messam Elmdore de Limberry - Lawful Neutral

Class: Arcane Knight/Samurai
Marquis Elmdore, liege lord of Limberry, serves as a general under Duke Goltanna. His fearlessness in battle has earned him the respect of allies and enemies alike. Thanks to this aspect of his psyche as well as his flowing silver hair, he is know by his allies as the Silver Prince, and by his enemies as the Silver Ogre.

Marquis Elmdore is one of the few nobles of Ivalice who who is actually loved by his people. Thanks to his noble bearing, war record, and countless acts of charity to the people of Limberry, he is viewed as a benevolent ruler.

Little is know about the past of Messam Elmdore. As a young child, his father, Marquis Frederick Elmdore, sent him to begin his martial training at the Academy of Gariland. Messam excelled in his tutelage to the various weapons masters of Ivalice, but eventually chose to specialize in the training of Master Chiba Tsurugi, a swordsman from the far East. At the age of 20, Messam graduated from the Academy with high honors and returned to Limberry.

Several years later, Marquis Frederick was assassinated by unknown forces -although the blame was placed on every faction from Khamja to the Kingdom of Romanda- and Elmdore reluctantly took his father's place as liege lord of Limberry, promising to continue the work his father had started.

3.) Orran Durai - Lawful Good
Class: Astrologer
Stepson of Cidolphus Orlandeau.

4.) Leofrick - Lawful Neutral
Class: Dragoon
The dragoon known as Leofrick is an enigma. Tasked as the guardian of Orran Durai, not much is known about the imposing knight other than his prowess in battle and uswaying loyalty to Cidolphus and Orran.

5.) Favian Veillantif - Chaotic Good
Class: Bishop
A secret follower of Pharism, Favian seeks to passively enlighten his allies to the truths of the obscure religion's teachings. He seeks to follow his heart and conscious in whatever manner they may advise him with little to no thought of laws or regulations. He is often seen helping those in need and pursuing seemingly hopeless causes.

Faction Storyline

A. Faction Arc:

A1: The New Recruits.
A group of fresh recruits report to Count Cidolfus at Fort Besselat. They are tasked to pass through the siege lines of Zeltennia Castle and report to the Duke of Zeltennia regarding updates and reinforcements coming soon. The Marquis of Limberry stops you on the way out telling you of an Ordallian incursion at the Lesalian Border Town of Groffovia. At the same time, he tasks you to get supplied and train under Baron Grimms at the courtyard with regards to combat basics.

Leads to: C1 or D1. (Group vote.)

A2: Passing through the Siege Lines
Following Count Orlandeau's orders, the group must pass through the dreaded Dhalizun host's siege lines at night and make it to Zeltennia Castle to relay the new orders from Count Orlandeau to coordinate a concerted pincer attack from Goltanna and Orlandeau's forces.

The fresh new recruits are pitted against the leader of the Blackram Knights.

Having failed to stop a group of Ordallian outriders pass through the battle lines in Groffovia, a group of Nanten has been tasked to root out the spies in hiding within the Royal Province before they cause any more harm.

Turn One Scenarios

Main Location: Zeltennia Castle
Alternate Location: Mount Germinas

At the beginning of the beta, the Nanten find themselves in full defense against the Dhalizun Host. As the Ordallians continue to press Zeltennia Castle, Cidolphus Orlandeau begins to run out of options on how to deal with the Eastern threat, and turns to his new cadets to lead objectives against their enemy.

The majority of the Nanten are currently located in Zeltennia Castle, actively defending the walls. There is a smaller group of knights that recently was dispatched to Mount Germinas, to coordinate possible future actions with the rival Hokuten.

Proposition: Test Your Might
Start: Zeltennia Castle
End: Zeltennia Castle
The Nanten are looking for only the fittest warriors around, as the group is only as strong as its weakest member. You are tasked with reporting to Baron Grimms for immediate tactical training on how to best neutralize the Ordallian threat.
System: The players are pitted against Baron Grimm's personal training team, all Squires.
Success: The players defeat Grimm's training squad. The next branching proposition starts Favorable.
Failure: The players are defeated by Grimm's training squad. The next branching proposition starts Unfavorable. 

Proposition: Dangerous Trek
Start: Zeltennia Castle
End: Mount Germinas
Our outpost in Mount Germinas requires reinforcements and information on the siege. Sneak through the Ordallian encampment in between the two locations, and report to Sir Leofrick as soon as possible.
System: The players must escape Zeltennia Castle, and travel unnoticed all the way through an Ordalian camp.
Success: The players leave Zeltennia Castle and maneuver through the encampment without making the Ordalians aware. The next branching proposition starts Favorable.
Neutral: The players are noticed at some point by Ordalian sentries, and enter battle. If victorious, the players escape the rest of the way to Mount Germinas. Bonuses for completing the proposition but no modifiers.
Failure: The players are noticed at some point by Ordalian sentries, and enter battle. If defeated, the players retreat back to Zeltennia Castle. Proposition becomes available again next game turn.

Diethe I took a few libeties with your ideas and updated the wording a bit. Basically all that was changed was the Nanten start already in Zeltennia Castle, under the presumption that the vast majority of the knighthood would already be in the general vicinity considering the circumstances. That, and Bethla Garrison isn't in the area of the map I cut out, heh. Also, I split up the first two propositions into their own branching story arcs. Test Your Might will lead down a story arc which details the Nanten shoring up their defenses for the next attack, and Dangerous Trek will lead down a story arc which details the teamwork between the Hokuten and Nanten in planning a counter-attack on Sal Ghidos.
