You know what I want? A server of everything from v1. I missed a lot from that game that I wanted to reread all about it. Maybe we could even add some characters from there as fan service to v1 people.

'Kay. Apparently, can't edit posts from my phone. So, aside from everyone you got in your sprite signatures, we had the characters I was playing - Kellan Josiah Myrdan being the foremost among them. Leader of Goug. Astrologer / something that I can't remember. Then there were the cult of the Isiiri, of which there were thirteen -
Rodard Ageoldo, their leader. Samurai / Ninja / Time Mage.
Frio the Brey, Dragoon / something.
Wynlan (God, forgot his last name) - Machinist extraordinaire.
Praether Renaulsson, Assassin-for-hire.
Belubu, the Arc Witch.
Tatsumaru, the Necromancer.
Uhhh. I'll post more as I remember more.

IIRC, Wynlan Estavahn. Estevan? Something. I have "fond" memories of finding out after V1 ended that no matter what any other faction did, Murond and Goug would have stomped the entire country flat because both of their home cities were incredibly OP. "Oh, you guys have almost 1,000 footmen? That's nice. We're playing chess using our War Golems as pieces."  |

I felt bad for not playing my characters and immersing with roleplay as much and getting bogged in the technical aspects tho. It didn't make my characters memorable much, to say the least. Well, that was like...6 years ago anyway.

When I first ran calculations for War Golems and how fast I could produce them, why would I produce anything else? Estevan! That's it! I can't for the life of me remember the others. There were thirteen, one for each sign of the Zodiac, and they were supposed to represent thirteen of the more unique classes too. Edit: Festimus the Chemist! YES! |

My guy was Jace Mar, monk for Glabados. Wish I still had my neat sprite for him...
Wasn't Ishy the leader of Glabados in v1? I vaguely remember at the end, wanting to invade Goug, and turn the War Golems into Holy Golems or something like that....

Especially if they don't know. No matter how you cut it, Bob's character is not John's character. I'm all for fan service and maybe references to popular characters (with the creator's consent) in rumors. But I don't want it to be a significant part of the sim. |

I think HoI then becomes responsible for defending your IP rather than becoming the owner of it. But, as you mention, he did wind up banned and he isn't really a great source regardless. I'm amenable to having them show up in the flesh, but it shouldn't be a big thing. No props should hinge upon whether or not <Insert v1 PC here> feels like getting out of bed that day. |

Lance can suck a duck taint. There's a reason the "All other information copyright their individual owners" disclaimer exists. Plus, if they dispute it, it doesn't stand up in court regardless. We're non-profit.

Either way, yeah. We limit them to cameos and small appearances, but not much. It's pretty alright however to bring in famous figures from v1 I guess, either as characters (From the original player of course), or by consent from the original player probably make a small role. The fanservice thing doesnt work without the fan of course, so yeah as long as its limited and the player is here, sure. We're here to roleplay and also to relive those good times. Makes sense for them to actually 'do' something during the war.
